In order to prepare optimally for the upcoming ceremonies, please ready through the following information!
DIET
In order to prepare your body in an optimal way for the yawanawa cultural immersion and the work with the traditional medicines please adapt the following guidelines for your diet from 10 days (minimum 1 week) prior to our retreat start:
NO processed foods, commercial white or brown sugars, alcohol, recreational smoking of cigarettes or herb, no dairy as much as possible
NO stimulants (coffee, cacao, matcha - to the best of your ability)
NO vegetable oils (sunflower, canola, any non natural, non-cold pressed oils), no pork, no additives and fillers in food as much as possible please
NO fermented or aged foods (i.e. sauerkraut, kombucha, liquid amino acids, fermented/ smoked fish/ meats, yeast extracts/ brewers yeast
DO EAT: ORGANIC fresh vegetables and fruits, freshly cold pressed juices/ smoothies, quinoa, rice
you can eat organic, pasture raised chicken, eggs, or wild caught fish (please do refrain from any commercially produced animal produce, these oftentimes contain toxins that will obstruct our work with the medicines)
LIMIT: excess fats, fried foods, strong spices like garlic, onion, ginger, nutmeg, excess salt (do not consume iodised salt)
2. PERSONAL LIFE & RELATIONSHIPS
We do intend in these circles of work to focus on what is the work that we personally need to do. Therefore please (the week before, longer if possible)
refrain from sexual intercourse
limit social media | television consumption
tend to all the work you may need to wrap up before so you can be fully present during the immersion
3. INTENTION
Feel into what is your intention for this retreat container with the Yawanawa people. Connect with the wisdom of the forest to see what it may hold for you.
Once you've found your intention you can connect to it on the daily by:
lighting a candle and while holding your eye gaze focused on the candle light (keep your gaze soft yet focused), remember your intention
stay with this for a few minutes.

4. CREATE ENERGETIC SPACE
Set aside some time every day to create moments of silence in whichever way comes naturally to you.
For example incorporate meditation into your daily routine (if you haven't already - even a few minutes right before bed and a few minutes right after waking in the morning go a long way).
